Friday February 27, 2004 - At 15:21 hours, the Haworth Fire Department was dispatched to Cresskill for a mutual aid house fire. The fire was located at 85 Westervelt Avenue. Upon arrival, the second floor was heavily involved in fire and blowing out of the back of the house. The cause of the fire is still under investigation but it is believed to have started near or in the chimney. One injured Cresskill firefighter was transported to the hospital.
